To make doctor-patient decisions in India safer and more informed. We cross-check profiles marked ✓ NMC Verified against the National Medical Commission (NMC) register, display hospital accreditation only where it can be checked from public sources, and send submitted patient reviews through a human moderation queue before publishing.

Our goal: when you choose a doctor through DoctorReviews.in, you have the same information you'd have if a senior physician in your family vetted them for you.

1. NMC verification (doctors). Every doctor profile marked ✓ NMC Verified is cross-checked against the National Medical Commission's online register at nmc.org.in. Where verified, the doctor's profile carries a green ✓ NMC Verified badge. Bios use public-record information only (hospital websites, Padma Awards directorate, professional society directories).
2. Accreditation cross-check (hospitals). NABH and JCI accreditation status comes from the official NABH and JCI databases. We display only the accreditations a hospital has actually been awarded.
3. Human-moderated patient reviews. Submitted reviews go to a moderation queue before publishing; straightforward submissions are usually handled quickly, but complex reviews can take longer. Reviewers may optionally upload a prescription or consultation bill to earn a ✓ Verified Visit badge — the proof file is permanently deleted after moderation. Spam, defamation, and privacy-breach reviews are rejected.
4. Phone hashing for review integrity. Reviewer phone numbers are stored only as keyed HMAC hashes (never plain text). The hash is used to deduplicate and rate-limit (max 3 reviews per number per 24 hours). We do not run OTP at present and do not display the OTP-verified claim.
5. Cited blog content. Trend and news articles cite mainstream press, official government bulletins (IMD, MoHFW, WHO, NHA), and dated sources. Patient-cost guides are based on published hospital websites and reputable data sources. We do not yet have in-house clinical reviewers — see our editorial team page for full disclosure.
6. Content updates. Each article carries a publication date and a "Last updated" date when materially refreshed.

→ We don't accept paid rankings. Doctors and hospitals cannot pay to rank higher or to remove negative reviews.

→ We don't sell patient data. We collect only a keyed phone-number hash (never the raw number) for review deduplication. We do not collect or store reviewer email addresses by default. We never sell user data to third parties.

→ We don't write fake reviews. Published reviews come from patient submissions, moderator-checked before publishing. We never plant reviews. Our review count is currently 0 across the platform — we publish honestly while inviting real submissions.

→ We don't claim non-existent reviewers. We do not list fictitious in-house physicians or fabricated team members. See editorial team for our honest staffing disclosure.
